Beat-the-Champ is free to enter with your paid Video Game Summit admission and gamers of all skill and experience levels are encouraged to participate. Beat Paul’s score that he will perform live at Video Game Summit 2023 and win one of his autographed Berzerk Atari 2600 world record “first to a million” cart. , An Award Certificate and a patch Second place will just get a Certificate
the game and setting being used: BERZERK – ATARI 2600 Game 9, Diff A or B, 15-Minute Limit
Paul will play first at 11am, which will be the score to beat. You can’t keep playing to improve your score. But, if someone beats your score (or Paul’s score), then you (including Paul) can play again to try to beat that score. The high score at 4pm will be the champion and prize will be given.
If you want to enter, notify Paul Zimmerman ‘s booth next to Old School Gamer magazine. The Beat-the-Champ will be at 11:00am-4:00pm. Prize will be given at 4:00pm at Paul Zimmerman’s booth. The winner must be in attendance to receive the prize.
