All entry fees are to be paid at the Everything Games Booths 1 and 2, Tournaments are played on booths 3 to 8
Pokemon TCG Learn to Play – Free to learn! Starter decks will be available for sale at the everything games vending booth

All tournaments prizes are 500 prize tickets for 1st place, which can be redeemed at the EG vending booth for all products offered at the show. (Products will have both Dollar value and redeemed ticket value)

10:00 am: Super Smash Bros Tournament hosted by BHOP Esports

  • 10am to 2pm: warmups before the tournament
  • 2pm till 5pm: Paid Bracket Double Elimination


Rules:

  • 16 Player Cap -Double Elimination Bracket
  • Best-of-3: Best-of-5 Winners, Losers, & Grand Finals

Settings:

  • 7 minutes with 3 stocks
  • 3 bans, No DSR

11:00 am: Atari Homebrew High Score Contest:Arcade Challenge: Elevator Agent

AVC Online’s Harmony Games is now called: Atari Homebrew High Score Contest (AH HSC) as the online version now includes 7800 games
This year we continuing the tradition of using Champ Games ports for VGS 2023, this year the Arcade Challenge game is Elevator Agent (port of Elevator Action)

the High Score Contest will use the same rules we used in first round of the AH HSC we did online

  • Play on standard setting (arcade)
  • Scores up to level 4 will count(game returns to level 1 after completing level 4)

This is not beat the champ tournament. First high score at end of contest wins AH HSC Patch, 1st place Certificate and from Champ Games a 20.00 certificate for purchase of the full Rom when available, Second high score wins 2nd place Certificate

Tournament hours is from 11am to 3pm at the AH HSC booth next to the shop table, winners must be present at 4pm we will announce the winners

11:00 am: Paul Zimmerman’s AtariMania Berzerk Beat-The-Champ Tournament

Beat-the-Champ is free to enter with your paid Video Game Summit admission and gamers of all skill and experience levels are encouraged to participate. Beat Paul’s score that he will perform live at Video Game Summit 2023 and win one of his autographed Berzerk Atari 2600 world record “first to a million” cart. , An Award Certificate and a patch Second place will just get a Certificate

the game and setting being used: BERZERK – ATARI 2600 Game 9, Diff A or B, 15-Minute Limit
Paul will play first at 11am, which will be the score to beat. You can’t keep playing to improve your score. But, if someone beats your score (or Paul’s score), then you (including Paul) can play again to try to beat that score. The high score at 4pm will be the champion and prize will be given.
If you want to enter, notify Paul Zimmerman ‘s booth next to Old School Gamer magazine. The Beat-the-Champ will be at 11:00am-4:00pm. Prize will be given at 4:00pm at Paul Zimmerman’s booth. The winner must be in attendance to receive the prize.
